I do not own Biker Mice From Mars (but I might one day) and are being used with out permission. Heaven can wait belongs to Meatloaf. I make no profits from this story (I might one day). I do own Chassie, Tyke , Hershey and Coal and they cannot be used without permission. So there!

A Blessed Day

(Part three of Blood binds the distance)

By

Miss Van Wham

Chassie tried nervously to arrange the pale blue with gold trim veil on her head, but the style she chose to wear her hair made things a little difficult. She sat in front of the large mirror, helplessly admiring her powder blue wedding dress. But at lass, the veil wouldn't cooperate with her, it would not allow itself to be planted around her white hair. She turned to the red headed human who stood at the other side of the tent, arranging her bouquet of blue flowers.

"Charley, could you do something about this thing?" She said as she pointed to the veil, "It won't stay on and it's bothering my ears."

Charley smiled as she walked over and took the veil from her Martian friend.

"Well, you did order it from earth, but I think I can do something about it."

Charley gently placed the eagle beak shaped headdress on Chassie's head, making sure that the hooks didn't catch on her antennas of ears. After a little maneuvering, the veil stayed.

"Thanks! Finally, something is going right today." Chassie exclaimed.

Charley looked puzzled, "What else is going wrong?"

"To start with, Hershey didn't show up yet, I can't get married with only my Matron of Honor at my side. Vince refuses to wear his Army dress uniform, the caterer got the food wrong, (Instead of grilled Saber squid and champagne, I got hot dogs and root beer, I think Vinnie had a hand in that.), and my dad isn't here yet and I can't walk down the isle without him. This is supposed to be the best day of my life!"

"Don't worry sweetheart, Daddy's going to make it all better." The deep male voice called out from the door slip. Chassie turned to see a large male mouse dressed in a black Army dress uniform with green trim, yellow sash, and a gold sword hung at his right side. His black fur was shining as his white hair was combed back but for the chin long bands that feathered to his right. His blue eyes stared at his daughter with pride.

"Daddy!" Chassie exclaimed as she got up from her seat and embraced her father.

"I would never miss this day, I just wish your mother was here to see you in that dress." Coal said with a tear in his eye.

"But she is Dad, she's looking down from heaven." Chassie answered to him.

He smiled, "You know sweetheart, you look just like her on our wedding day."

"Thanks Dad."

"You chose a great place to have it." Coal said, "The Red Plateau is beautiful this time of year."

The door flaps flung to the other side as the Three-year-old boy ran inside and pounced on his mother. Chassie caught him and held the Martian child in her arms.

"Mommy! Uncle Vinnie won't put on his uniform!" Tyke yelled in excitement, "He says that it makes him look like a sissy."

"And where's your father? That's his job to take care of Vince." She asked him.

"Daddy had to take care of something, but I thought I should tell you."

Chassie looked at her father, "Dad…"

"I'm on the job Baby." He extended his arms to Tyke, "Come with me little man, we'll get your uncle dressed."

Tyke moved to his arms, "What about the food? Daddy said that mommy won't like the food."

"I don't care what I eat as long as I can finally walk down the isle and get married!" Chassie exploded.

Charley, Coal, and Tyke stared at her.

"Mommy's fucken pissed again." Tyke said.

"Where on Mars did you hear that language?" Chassie said but then the answer came to her, "Your uncle, right?"

Tyke nodded with pride.

"Dad, I don't know what I'm going to do with him!"

Coal placed his hand on her shoulder, "Baby, this is the most important day in your life. If I have to beat your brother into submission to get him to wear his suit, I will. This will be a day to remember."

Coal turned around and left the tent with Tyke in his arms.

Chassie turned to Charley, "Are you sure you want to stay married my brother?"

Charley giggled, "Your brother can be a hand full, but I know how to handle him."

Chassie shook her head, "You humans are so weird."

"That's what I thought of you Martians when I first met the guys."

A Female ran inside the tent holding the skirt of her dark blue dress up. Her rich brown fur was matted and her dark brown curly hair dangled down.

Chassie placed her hand on her hips, "Well, it's about time Hershey! We're starting in less than ten minutes!"

Hershey huffed, "Yeah well, *HUFF*, you didn't have *HUFF*, to do emergency surgery ten minutes ago."

"Excuses are like assholes, everybody’s got one and they all stink." Chassie remarked.

Hershey stood up straight and smiled, "Tell me again why I’m wearing this stupid dress?"

"Because I’m getting married and I thought that my best friend and colleague would like to join in this most important day of my life." Chassie replied with a snap in her voice.

"Not bloody likely if Vinnie doesn’t get dressed." Hershey commented.

"WHAT?"

"I just came past there, he’s arguing with your dad. He wants to wear a Tux instead."

"This isn’t a Human wedding! It’s a Martian Wedding for crying out loud!" Chassie yelled as she marched out the tent and headed towards the men’s tent, grinding her teeth and with clenched fists.

She flung the tarp door aside and stormed in. Coal was holding the uniform with Modo beside Him trying to convince Vinnie to put it on. Vinnie stood there with his arms crossed across his chest, in his underwear only.

"Chassie, yer not s’possed to be here!" Modo said in shock at the bride to be.

"I have to fix a little problem." She said as she turned to her older brother.

Vinnie smiled at her, "Sis, look, I know it’s your big day but…"

Chassie grabbed him by his red antennas and pulled his head down to her level. Her eyes screamed anger at the Biker mouse.

"Listen you scum sucken, low life, egotistical, selfish, unreasonable, brainless wonder! This is MY day, you HAD yours! If you don’t put that uniform on, I WILL POUND YOUR STINKEN SKULL INTO MUSH!! GOT IT?"

Vinnie smiled, "Yes."

She let go of him, "Good, now where the hell is the groom?"

"He had to get something taken take of." Modo answered.

"OK, but we start in two minutes! How long is this going to take?" Chassie said as her heart began to pound, "This has to happen to me, only me."

The old Martian priest stepped into the ten wearing a long red robe with gold trim. His black hair was brushed back and his almond colored fur shone in some way.

The priest smiled at them, "Miss Van Wham, we can start now if you like."

"There’s only one problem Father, the groom is missing." Said Chassie.

"No he’s not, he’s waiting at the altar, waiting for his bride." The priest said.

Chassie let out a sigh, "Great, I’m actually getting married!"

Vinnie looked up at his sister, "I’m dressed!"

Chassie turned to him with a sarcastic look, "You sound just like Tyke, with the same mentality."

Tyke looked up at his mother, "Is that a good thing?"

"Never mind that grandson," Coal said to him, "I have to walk your mother down the isle."

Coal extended his arm to his daughter, "Shall we?"

She grinned and took his arm, "We shall."

Charley and Hershey entered the tent.

"Are we on?" Charley asked.

"We’re on our way." Answered Modo.

"OK, Charley, you go down first with Vinnie, then Modo and Hershey, Than Dad and me." Chassie said as she barked orders at them. She felt a tug at her dress, she looked down and saw her son staring back at her.

"What about me Mommy?" He asked.

"Oh Tyke, I almost forgot! You go before Aunt Charley and Uncle Vinnie." She said as she handed the boy the blue satin pillow with two gold rings attached in the center with white lace.

"Into places everyone!"

The group came together like a well drilled army (or fearful of what the bride may do to them). The priest moved out of the tent and proceeded to the altar. A soft melody began, and the paired couples began to walk in sequence. The scene was on out of a Martian fairy tail; all the guests sat in two sides, allowing the wedding party to walk in the middle on a long, royal blue carpet. The altar was made from two Martian angle statues, with their wings extended and their hands grasping upwards. Flowers of many shades of blue decorated the ground and the raised plated form where the priest stood with the groom at his right side.

Chassie smiled at him as her father gently took her down the isle towards her new life. Throttle stood at the altar with pride as Charley and Vinnie separated to each side and Modo and Hershey made their way too. Coal turned to his daughter, "Are you sure you want to go through with this?

Chassie looked blankly at him, "What? What the hell was that? Of course I still want to go through with it, I've been waiting for this day the first time I saw Throttle!"

"Just making sure. Your grandfather asked your mother the same thing, and she replied the same thing." Coal chuckled.

They began their walk, slowly, towards her destiny. The music filled her with joy as she neared her love. As she neared him, her heart pounded louder with each step. At last, she was there, her father handed his only daughter to the man who would be her life now.

Throttle took her hand and smiled, "Nervous?"

She returned the smile, "Nah, you?"

"Nah."

All turned to the Priest with joy in all their hearts. The Holy Father of Ares cleared his throat before beginning the ceremony.

"We have all gathered together as one whole unit before the eyes of our Great Father Ares to unit these two souls into one life." The priest began, "Ares gave us life and in return he commanded us to survive upon his tiny world. We have survived, and we will continue to survive as we breathe our last breath. On this most blessed day, two souls find each other and have come here to present themselves to Ares and join themselves for life before the eyes of our lord and father. Let us join them in this grand occasion."

He turned to the audience, "Who gives this child of Ares to her mate?"

Coal stood up and winked at his little girl, "I give my child to her mate." He sat back down.

The priest could not hide the joy in his eyes as he began the rites of bonding. He turned to Throttle, "Throttle Redthorn. Speak your oath so all can hear, from the lowly creature to our beloved father from the heavens."

Throttle turned to his lovely bride, "I pledge to you, Chassie Van wham, my mind, my body, my strength, my blood, and the heart that pumps it. I will be your companion, your friend for life. I will protect you when you are in danger, I will aid you when you need help, I will always be there for you. This I pledge to you."

Tyke raised his hand to his father and gave him the ring from the satin pillow. Throttle took Chassie's gloved hand and placed the ring at the tip of her finger, "Do you accept my love?"

She smiled at him, "I accept, my love."

Throttle slipped the ring on her finger. The priest turned to her now.

"Chassie Van Wham. Speak your oath so all can hear, from the lowly creature to our beloved father from the heavens."

Chassie looked at Throttle with love in her eyes, "I pledge to you, Throttle Redthron, My life, my mind, my soul, and my heart. If you feel evil’s grip, should it’s shadow consume you, breath deep and always remember, I am your sworn protector, I will free you of your bonds. I will stay at your side, through good and evil, joy and sorrow, life and death. We will never be parted, we will be together for all of time. This I pledge to you."

She took the ring from her son, and placed it at the tip of Throttle's finger, "Do you accept, my love?"

He smiled back at her, "I accept, my love."

She slid the ring onto his finger.

The priest spoke again, "Let it ring with in the heavens and below upon Mars, these two have become one. May I present to all, Mr. and Mrs. Throttle Redthorn!"

The guest clapped as Throttle and Chassie kissed. Tyke covered his eyes as Vinnie snikered to himself.

"It's about time!" Vinnie yelled to everyone.

Throttle looked at him, "Hey! It took us a wile to get back together!" He turned to his bride, "But we did, my wife."

Chassie thought for a moment, "Hmm…wife, I like the sound of that."

"IT'S PARTY TIME!" Coal called out to everyone, "Food's in the large tent!"

The mass began to move away, but as Chassie started to leave, Throttle grabbed her hand and pulled her close.

"Aren't you hungry?" She asked.

"Yeah, but not for food." He replied with a mischievous smile on his face, "Come with me."

The two ran way from the crown and towards the Men's tent. As they entered, they saw that no one was around.

"Why are we here?" Chassie asked.

"I want to give you my wedding gift-alone!"

Throttle moved to a large object covered with a piece of cloth. He took two ends and pulled the fabric off.

There in front of them was an old white baby grand piano. Throttle sat on the bench and began to play for his bride;

Heaven can wait,

And a band of angles wrapped up in my heart

Will take me through the lonely night

Through the cold of the day

And I know

I know

Heaven can wait

And all the gods come down here to sing for me

And the melody's gonna to make me fly

Without fear

Without fear

Give me all of your dreams

And let me go along on your way

Give me all of your prays to sing

And I'll turn the night into the skylight of day

I got a taste of paradise

I'm never gonna to let it slip away

I got a taste of paradise

It's all I really need to make me stay-

Just like a child again

Heaven can wait

And all I got is time until the end of time

I won't look back

I won't look back

Let the altars shine

And I know that I've been released

But I don't know to where

And nobody's gonna tell me now

And I don't really care

No no no

I got a taste of paradise

That's all I really need to make me stay

I got a taste of paradise

If I had it any sooner you know

You know I never would have run away from my home

Heaven can wait

And all I got is time until the end of time

I won't look back

I won't look back

Let the altars shine

Heaven can wait

Heaven can wait

I won't look back

I won't look back

Let the altars shine

Let the altars shine

Tears fell from her eyes as she sat on the bench beside him.

"That was so beautiful." She whispered.

"I mean everything I sang." He smiled as he took her hand into his.

"When I’m with you, Heaven can wait.

The end…for now.

"That’s it? No killing, no blood no violence? What kind of fucken story was that? I wasn’t even mentioned!"

"You’ll be back, don’t worry."

"I AM WORRYING! I’m not supposed to end like this! I got to kill something!"

"You have to wait until the next story."

"I CAN’T WAIT!"
